FAQs: Hikvision's NVR with Encoder

How to connnect this encoder to Hikvision's NVR?

First, ensure that the encoder and the NVR (Network Video Recorder) are in the same network segment. This means that both devices should have IP addresses within the same subnet for proper communication.
  1. Right-click the mouse to open the context menu, then select "Add IP Channel" from the available options.
  2. Once in the setup menu, click on the [Refresh] button. This action will prompt the system to search for any available devices on the network. After the scan completes, you should see a list of all detected devices.
  3. Locate the encoder's IP address from the list of found devices. Once identified, click the [+ button] next to the encoder's IP address to add it to the system.
  4. After the device has been successfully added, a confirmation message will typically appear. You can then click on the Exit button to close the window, allowing you to proceed with additional configuration or setup steps if needed.
By following these steps, the encoder will be successfully integrated into the NVR system and ready for use.
