Configuring IP Filters on IPC Cameras for Enhanced Security

IP Filter

  1. Go to Configuration->Security->IP Filter
This screen allows for the filtering of IP addresses, either blocking them, or granting them access to the camera. This feature helps make the camera more secure by limiting remote access only to approved users. Below is a screenshot of the IP Filter screen.

Explanation

  1. Enable: This checkbox allows the user to enable the IP Filter feature for trusted IP address. 
  2. IP address filter type: This dropdown box allows the user to select the type of the IP filtering: Forbidden or Allowed. 
  3. Add: This button allows the user to add one filtering rule. 
  4. Modify: This button allows the user to modify one filtering rule in the table. 
  5. Delete: This button allows the user to delete one filter rule in the table. 
  6. Start IP: This column shows the starting IP address which will be filtered. 
  7. End IP: This column shows the end IP address which will be filtered. 
  8. Alias: This column shows the rule’s name the user defined.
