NOTES: The provided drivers are specifically tailored for Quectel modules. If you are using modules from other brands, it is advisable to reach out to the technical support of the respective module brand. They will be able to provide you with the appropriate drivers and support specific to their products. It's important to use drivers that are designed for the specific hardware you are using to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Install Drivers
Install it by following below steps(Take Win10 for Example):
Click Setup.exe from Quectel_LTE&5G_Windows_USB_Driver_V2.2.2 after decompression;
Then click Next->Finish
Get it Connected
Get it connected by following below steps:
Insert SIM card into the slot with the correct direction;
Mount the FPC antenna attached into the USB dongle;
Insert the USB dongle into USB port of your computer;
Go to Device Manager by right click "This PC" on your desktop and select "Manage";
Then Computer Management->Device Manager->Universal Serial Bus controllers->Check if there's a new USB Composite Device(0018)[it might be varied from devices]
Normally it should be okay then if it's not required to configure APN and check if your PC is connected to the Internet. If yes, right click the icon of WiFi on the right bottom side of your PC and check if it look like below photo:
If not, please go to configure APN accordingly.
Configure APN
Configure APN by following below steps if required:
Go to Device Manager->Ports(COM & LPT)->Check the Quectel USB AT Port(COM5), [It might be varied from different devices];
Run QCOM_V1.6 and inquiry whether it's correct by entering below commands:
Send command "AT+CGDCONT?" to check whether APN is already set:
If not, please send command "AT+CGDCONT=<cid>[,<PDP_type>[,<APN>[,<PDP_addr>[,<data_comp>[,<head_comp>]]]]]" to configure APN directly. But for those parameters, please get all of them from your local Internet service provider. It will response "OK or ERROR".
