By ensuring that the encoder has the correct date and time set, users can more effectively locate specific video clips and navigate the recording interface. This is particularly important for tasks such as reviewing and retrieving specific recordings, as well as maintaining an organized record of video footage
How to correctly setup the time?
To ensure accurate operation and synchronization of your encoder/codec, follow these steps to set up the date and time correctly:
- Select the Time Zone: From the settings menu, select your time zone from the dropdown list;
- Set Sync Mode: Change the Sync Mode to Manual;
- Enable Sync with PC: Check the Sync with PC checkbox to synchronize the device's time with your computer;
- Save Your Settings: Click the Save button to apply all of your changes;
- Restore Factory Settings: If necessary, restore the unit to default factory settings for a clean configuration;
- Verify NTP Functionality: Ensure NTP (Network Time Protocol) is functioning by selecting the time zone again, clicking Save, and then refreshing the page to verify that the time displayed is correct;
By following these steps, your device will be configured with the correct date and time, ensuring optimal performance.
