Date & Time

  1. Go Configuration->System->Date & Time
This tab allows the user to configure the camera’s date and time settings. Below is a screenshot of the Date & Time tab:

Explanation

  1. Status: The camera current date and time, it will be changed after you finish the setting Date & Time.
  2. Date Format: This dropdown box allows the user to change the date format used in the camera.
  3. Time Format: This dropdown box allows the user to change the time format used in the camera.
  4. Time Zone: This dropdown box allows the user to change the time zone used in the camera.
  5. DST Enable: This checkbox allows the user to enable daylight savings time.
  6. DST bias: This dropdown box allows the user to change the time bias for DST.
  7. Start Time: This dropdown box and field allow the user to enter in the start time for DST.
  8. End Time: This dropdown box and field allow the user to enter in the end time for DST.
  9. Sync with NTP server: This checkbox allows the user to enable the camera’s synchronization with an NTP server.
  10. NTP server: This field allows the user to enter in an NTP server address or use the default server.
  11. Port: This field allows the user to enter in the NTP server port number. 
  12. Update Period: This field allows the user to enter in the update period interval. This number designates how frequently the camera pings the NTP server to ensure it has the correct time. The range is from 1-5 hours.
  13. Manually set: This checkbox allows the user to enter in the date and time manually. Check the checkbox “Sync with PC time” allows the camera to sync with the computer you are using.
  14. Restore Default: Restore the values to default setting.
  15. Refresh: Refresh the display of the settings’ value.
  16. Save: Save the settings.
