Installation Guide

Loosen the screws


Notes
NOTE: just loosen the four screws on the right hand side.

Install the module and antenna

  1. Insert the Mini PCIe to USB WiFi Module into the designated slot on industrial adapter P2U52V08TC;
  2. Connect ANT1 to the IPEX connector on the WiFi USB module;
  3. Connect ANT2 to the IPEX connector.

NOTE:
Understanding the IPEX Connectors:
  1. Main IPEX Connector (ANT1): Generally provides primary signal reception and transmission.
  2. Auxiliary IPEX Connector (ANT2): Often used for diversity reception or as a secondary antenna to improve signal quality.
Why Cross Antennas?
  1. Reducing Interference: By crossing the two antennas, you help minimize interference caused by multipath propagation, where the same signal arrives at the receiver from different paths, potentially canceling each other out.
  2. Improving Signal Quality: This configuration leverages diversity combining techniques, which can effectively enhance the overall signal quality and reliability of the wireless connection.

Insert the SIM card (FOR 4G LTE DONGLE ONLY)

Press the self-ejecting button to release the SIM card holder, and then insert the SIM card in the correct orientation:

NOTE:
  1. If possible, position the antennas away from each other to minimize interference.
  2. If your device's design permits, mount the antennas at approximately 90 degrees to each other to enhance reception capabilities.

Install the module driver if required

NOTE: Download and install the appropriate drivers for the WiFi USB Module on your PC. 

Connect to the PC

Connect the dongle to your PC using the included Type-C to USB 2.0 cable and check if you can connect to the WiFi Hotspot:

NOTE: If you’re unable to connect to your local WiFi Hotspot, please double-check the following issues:
  1. Have you installed the correct drivers for the WiFi module if you're using the old operating system?
  2. Have you already entered the correct credential for WiFi Hotspot?
