Multicast Usage Instructions
When using wired transmission (connected via a switch), the multicast protocol supports up to 1 transmitter to 254 receivers.
Steps for Multicast Configuration
1. Enable Multicast Functionality
- Check the option to enable multicast on both the transmitter and receiver.
2. Set Multicast Address and Port
- All receivers must use the transmitter’s multicast address (default: 224.168.1.166) and port (default: 30000).
- Ensure the wired network IP addresses of all receivers (default: 192.168.1.167) are unique to avoid IP conflicts.
3. Avoid IP Conflicts
- After setting each receiver’s multicast address, modify its IP address to ensure no conflicts between devices.
NOTES: Multicast can only be used in SWITCH mode and cannot be used with a router, as routers typically disable multicast functionality by default for security reasons.
