IR Remote Control Usage Guide
NOTES: The extender does not include a remote control; it only transmits IR signals.
If you need to control remote devices (e.g., DVD players or TV set-top boxes), our device supports the transmission of IR signals.
Example: Using the remote control on the receiver side to control a remote set-top box:
- Insert the supplied IR emitter into the IR OUT port on the transmitter (TX).
- Ensure the IR emitter is placed directly in front of the IR sensor of the set-top box.
Important Notes:
- Only IR remote controls are supported; Bluetooth remote controls are not.
To identify an IR remote:
- IR remotes usually have a transparent LED at the front and require line-of-sight with the device for operation.
- Bluetooth remotes lack a front LED and do not require line-of-sight, as they can operate in any direction.
