Introduction of Encoder

What's HDMI Video Encoder?

An HDMI video encoder is a device or hardware component that is designed to convert video and audio signals from HDMI sources, such as cameras, gaming consoles, or other video playback devices, into digital formats that can be transmitted over a network or the internet.

HDMI encoders take the HDMI input signal, typically in high-definition format, and use encoding technology to convert the video and audio into a format suitable for streaming or recording. The encoded signal is often in a compressed format, such as H.264 or H.265, and also include audio encoding using formats like AAC or G.711.

These encoders are commonly used in live streaming applications, video conferencing, surveillance systems, and other scenarios where HDMI video content needs to be distributed over a network or accessed remotely. They may support various streaming protocols, such as RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol), RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol), or HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), allowing the encoded video to be delivered to streaming platforms, content delivery networks (CDNs), or custom servers.
