FAQs: View Record of Encoder
Why can't I find or search recordings on the SD card with my encoder?
If you are unable to locate or search for recordings saved to the SD card with your encoder, this issue is often related to the Date and Time settings of the device.
Here are the key points to consider:
- Built-in Battery for Timekeeping: The encoder comes with a built-in battery to maintain the Date and Time settings. However, if the Date and Time were not set correctly when you started recording, the encoder might label the recordings with invalid timestamps.
- Importance of Setting Date and Time: At the very beginning of using the encoder, it is strongly recommended to configure the Date and Time settings. This ensures that all recordings are properly timestamped, making them searchable and viewable in the "View Record" page.
- Impact of Missing Configuration: If the Date and Time were not set, the recordings may still exist on the SD card, but they could be considered invalid by the system. As a result, the encoder will not display them in the recording search interface.
To resolve this issue:
- Go to the encoder settings and ensure the current Date and Time are correctly configured.
- Recheck the "View Record" page after updating the settings.
By setting the correct Date and Time from the start, you can avoid this issue and ensure all future recordings are easily accessible.
